Picariello joined Laurin Heinrich and Julien Andlauer behind the wheel of the No. 8 AO by Absolute Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R, affectionately known as “Bushi Rex.” The trio delivered a commanding victory in the 50th running of the Suzuka 1000km, securing Porsche’s first overall victory at the event since 1994. 

The spectacular samurai-inspired Bushi Rex made its racing debut at Suzuka, bringing a distinctly Japanese interpretation of AO Racing’s famous Rexy character to the circuit. Picariello, Heinrich and Andlauer took the No. 8 Porsche to victory in AO Racing’s first Intercontinental GT Challenge appearance.
