The RUF CTR, introduced in 1987, was a comprehensive re-engineering of the Porsche 911 platform by the Pfaffenhausen-based manufacturer RUF Automobile. Powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.4-litre flat-six producing 469 hp, the CTR achieved a top speed of 213 mph (343 km/h), making it the fastest production car in the world at the time. Its record-setting run at the Nardo Ring test facility in Italy earned it the legendary "Yellowbird" nickname. Weighing approximately 1,150 kg thanks to extensive use of lightweight materials, the CTR combined exceptional power-to-weight ratio with refined drivability. This collection set, designated "Nello," references the iconic Nardo high-speed circuit integral to the CTR's legacy.
